Hey Bloggers!

Hey Bloggers!

I'm Lily and I am a 20 year old Professional Ballet Dancer turned student and employee. I am based in London, although I am from North Staffordshire, and as you can probably tell I am totally new to Blogger and am still finding my feet with how it all works. I am truly excited to get stuck into this fascinating world of blogging and I hope you will all enjoy and share my posts...

The influential power, knowledge and experience that you can gain from this infinite world full of challenges and possibilities is just mind boggling - and blogging happens to be one of the ways that we can all share and enjoy such possibilities. What has delighted me the most about taking up blogging is the way in which you have the freedom to express and explore at your own will, allowing others to discover and share alongside you from all over the world.

Lil' Blogger has been created due to a course I have just started at Middlesex University in London. It is a BA Honours Degree in Professional Practice in the Arts which I really can't wait to start! I am totally thrilled to be continuing my studies at Middlesex University and I look forward to working hard, expanding my skills, learning and above all having fun!

For the past 3 years I have been studying at English National Ballet School, London, and prior to this I saw out my high school years at Elmhurst School For Dance in Birmingham. I adore the Arts and also have great interest in both Law and History, subjects which I have completed (History) and am currently studying (Law) A Level's in through Distance Learning. I find that in doing this, I can healthily challenge and stimulate my brain and delve into subjects that I find so engaging and thrilling.

Dance, and more specifically Classical Ballet, has been an integral part of my life since a very young age and it is something that I am extremely passionate about. It is a beautiful, rewarding art form that I have been constantly fulfilled by but also struggled through. The discipline, need for perfection and pure dedication required takes someone who is very determined and willing to sacrifice so much.

Ballet has given me a wealth of motivation, diligence, commitment and work ethic over the past 8 years of my professional training and I am now ready to apply these skills to something of academic orientation. I miss getting stuck into studying, feeling that sense of achievement when you hand in a piece of work that you have found particularly challenging; and so the BAPP course at Middlesex is just the perfect way for me to study my degree in an academic forum, surrounded by other professionals who have taken a similar route to myself.

It will be intriguing to experience how I can apply my already acquired skills to my new journey of studying and employment, and I am excitedly anticipating what new skills I will pick up along the way! It is so refreshing to once again feel so enthusiastic about what is ahead and I look forward to being able to share this with you.

From one blogger to another...this is awesome!

Enjoy reading and any positive feedback would be really appreciated.

Until next time!

Lily
